The coordinates listed in the title of this project are those of the city of Turin. The date refers to the day when the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, then residing in the Italian city, saw a horse being whipped by his coachman, a spectacle that is said to have precipitated his descent into madness. The coordinates and the date were used to simulate the sun’s passage over a 3D replica of an antique statue of a sleeping Ariadne. Screen captures corresponding to the hours of dawn, noon, and dusk, printed on metallic paper, were bound together into a book.
